The stone on the White House.
Though somewhat controversial, many historians (e.g. William Seale) claim that Croatian Limestone was used to build the beautiful everlasting facade of our beloved White House in Washington D.C. and then again used in the 1902 renovations of the facade. Though this fact is understandably somewhat undisclosed, it makes perfect sense, as our croatian Limestone is extremly durable and long lasting. It's beautiful white shine never wears, even after 1000 years! Don't believe it? Keep reading!
The beauty of natural stone
Natural stone has shaped our landscape, our architecture and our way of seeing for millennia. The harmonious use of natural stone or the purposeful modern "break" therefore require the designer to have a deep understanding of the nature, origin, processing and laying of this unique material
White for over 1700 years
Diocletian's Palace is an ancient palace built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian at around 305 AD. The palace forms about half the old town of Split. The Croatian limestone crafted for this majestic structure, excavated from a quarry close to our very own, is still shining in beautiful white and extremly solid, even after over 1700 years!
High purity, density and color
Our Croatian Limestone is the best of it's kind on the market. You will not find anything brighter, of higher quality or consistancy anywhere else. There's a good reason why this stone has been used for centuries on historic monuments such as the White House and the best preserved Roman Palace in the world: It's simply the best.
